When I think of "connection" with global experts, I mostly think of the internet and World Book online, but our students get a lot of coaching from the staff on a wide variety of subjects from engineering to cooking all over the school through classes and clubs.
One significant event that happened in August was group of Japanese students came to visit our school! It was great to see the WEB (Where Everyone Belongs) leaders escorting the kids around our campus for the day. During their time here, the library hosted a a fun Q&A with groups of 8th grade students who asked them questions about their culture, school, and home life.
Also, every year our 7th grade World Cultures teacher leads a trip for students and parents to a foreign country. The trip he's planning for this year is Greece, which is scheduled for next June.
